** "Cannot say enough good things about Meryan House Hotel. The building is beautiful and decorated with country antiques. Each room has a different theme and the imperfections of a 500 year old house make it quintessential English perfection. However, it is not just the building and the decor that make Meryan House special, it’s the lovely innkeeper, Cherie.
My family had an unexpected tragedy to deal with in Taunton and Cherie looked after us all from when we arrived to when we left. My sister and I enjoyed the most delicious homemade English breakfasts and wonderful evening meals - the soufflé was divine! Cherie hosted a gathering for 11 of our family members with just a couple of days notice and the food and welcoming atmosphere made things easier on everyone.
In addition Cherie has the most adorable trio of dogs! These were the icing on the cake! We are all dog lovers and we loved seeing the dogs quietly dosing by the fireplace. Thank you Cherie for making a tough time so much better, your hotel is beautiful and gets an 11/10 from us."

** "A characterful building in beautiful location. We could not have been made to feel more welcome, all of the staff were friendly and engaging. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts are superb using local produce.
